Stefani is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She has just completed her Master of Counselling Psychology through CityUniversity in 2023. Stefani believes that while topics brought up in therapy may be hard, your relationship with your therapist should come easy. She is passionate about ensuring that time spent together can help provide a fresh outlook, a few laughs, and honest conversation. Stefani’s previous experience with diverse children, adolescents, and young adults focuses on struggles with self-esteem, stress, friendships, family relations and behavioural issues.
Rooted in Rational-Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Adlerian Therapy, Stefani fuses these approaches to provide clients with a full range of tools for personal development. REBT encourages clients to recognize and remedy irrational thinking by replacing these thoughts, emotions and behaviours with rational ones, promoting positive change and increased self-awareness. The Adlerian approach examines the effects of our past experiences and social interactions on us while emphasizing the importance of our belonging. Together, this equips clients with the skills necessary to work through their difficulties, build healthier mindsets and achieve rewarding relationships. At a fundamental level, Stefani believes that we grow when we are uncomfortable, and we are uncomfortable when faced with change. Stefani’s energetic, fun, and welcoming demeanour hopes to help elicit feelings of comfort and support during times rooted in discomfort and confusion.
